HISTORY OF TAMBAC ES

Tambac Elementary School was formerly an extension of Maonon Elementary School.
There were two classroom built then to open it as an extension. These two clssrooms were not
utilized first by pupils instead these were used for non-formal education of the community
specializing in dress making and weaving.
The birth of Tambac Elementary School was rooted from the feasibiity study conducted by
Mr. Dexter Pielago, the then principal of Maonon Elementary School. Since, Tambac is a
district of Barangay maonon and almost 3 kilomeers away fro Maonon proper and 4 kilometers
from the adjacent barangay. Mr. Pielago imposed the need of an Elementary School. This
was also supported with a fact that the number of pupils to enroll increases.
With the Resolution No. 016702 s. 2002 enorsed by the former Ligao City mayor Fernando
V. Gonzales to Dr. Epifanio Buela, the then School Divisions Superintendent of Albay,
the realization of having a school in Tambac happened. With the help also of the former
Barangay Captain Hon. Nicanor Sto. Tomas a parcel of land was donated (5,000 sq. m.) in
the presence of Atty. Merdilene R. Ramirez , Notary Public. The maiden operation of
Tambac Elementary School was on the school year 2003.
After thirteen fruitful years of existence, Tambac ElementarySchool is still traversing the
road toward excellence in providing its pupils quality education. The journey of Tambac
Elementary School for the pursuit of excellence is still beating. The torch of wisdom
continuosly flaming in giving light the communiy and the youth who will be tomorrow become
catalyst of change.
Many school heads administered and supervised the school excellently from, Mr. Dexter
Pielago up to the present school head Mr. Paul B. Cha.  Tambac Elementary school is now
a complete school with 7 classrooms, all functioned-well with functional office for the school
head and school visitors. There are already 7 teachers from kinder to grade six as of school
year 2015-2016. They are all nationally funded and equipped with different techniques and
strategies in handling pupils.
The school believes that “Every Tambaqueῆo is a leader, and a good follower in terms of
access, quality, and governance.” Progress in academic matters and physical facilities were
attained in Tambac Elementary School. The 240 target number enrollees were achieved as
of year 2015-2016. With regards to academic excellence, quality education was catered well
to the learners to sustain their intellectual, emotional and moral values. Tambac Elementary
School is indeed a small and young school, yet, a performing school.
Despite of its distance of (55km.) from the city proper, Tambac Elementary School being the
first sitio-coastal school in Barangay Maonon, Ligao City continually proves its worth
towards Pupil-development, Staff development, Curriculum development, Physical
development and Community Extension Development.  Aspirations to Dream, Achieve and
Soar is what this school continuously proves to other neighboring school. Competence is never
about the location, it is all about the eagerness to achieve and perseverance in pursuant of
Higher Learning Outcome who will benefit all children of Tambac Elementary school.
